Job Dynamics Analysis (JDA) Survey Update

As part of PDP’s effort to maintain and improve the quality of our survey instruments and processes, we began in 2018 to evaluate and update the Job Dynamics Analysis (JDA) Survey. We updated the statements and defined greater specificity for the survey scale (1=Almost Never, 2=Seldom, 3=Sometimes, 4=Often, and 5=Almost Always). For more than a year and a half, we researched and alpha tested the new JDA Survey in numerous training environments with clients. These training seminars participants consistently felt the updated statements were clearer and the scale easier to use. They also reported that the result was the creation of a better, overall Job Model. After these successful alpha tests, we beta tested the survey with select clients hiring for a variety of different types of positions in a variety of organizations. Once again, we received the positive results needed to proceed. Finally, in July of 2020 we updated the electronic version JDA Survey in PDPworks. If you administer the paper version of this survey when building Job Models, we encourage you to download the new JDA Survey and replace it in your files so that you match the current version.
